It is as environmentally friendly as a substrate can be, since it does not require a laminate to get the shiny, bright, water and scuff resistant look many people are looking for in their label printing. We ran a test in our lab (a.k.a. kitchen) to find out if it really would hold up to water and scuffing. We took a few test labels we had printed, and popped them on a jar of honey, salsa and jelly. We wiped the labels with a wet rag daily, our kids used the products, and we even put the jars in the dishwasher to see what would happen. The label held up to the test!
