Frequently Asked Questions for Your Label Printer
Why is a digital label printer better than a traditional label printer?
A digital label printer like Leapin’ Lizard can provide you with quality labels at a lower cost and quicker turn-around than a conventional label printer – and we don’t require minimum orders. For more information, see our article on the Advantages of Going Digital.
Can you help me with my label design?
We offer graphic design services if you need assistance getting the right look for your label or sticker. Just call us at 877-224-0134 and tell us what you need. We’ll figure out a way to help.
How do I place an order?
Placing an order is easy! Just go to Get a Quote and fill out our form. Lexie will give you a quote on the labels you need. If you decide we are the label printer for you, we’ll get started on printing your labels right away.
Why are there no press set-up charges?
The digital label printing technology we use eliminates the need for us to make plates so we don’t have to charge for that service. We receive files in EPS, PDF, TIFF, and JPEG format (see our Art Specs section for more details), review the file, proof what will be the final output, then send the file to our digital Epson label press. It’s great to be a label printer!
What label sizes are available?
We don’t use stock label sizes – everything is custom cut to the specifications of your design. Right now the largest size our press can handle up to 10 x 17 inches. Did we mention that we love being a custom sticker and label printer?
Why are there no die-cut charges?
We don’t use dies! Our label printing process employs a computer-driven rotating blade that will custom cut labels or stickers digitally to any shape, at no additional charge!
When can I expect my labels to arrive?
We use Fed-Ex as our shipping company and under normal circumstances, you should expect your labels in three to five days from the time of your order. We can also arrange next-day delivery in most cases. Just ask!
What is variable data and how do I use it?
Variable data is perfect for customizing labels for target markets within each print run. Examples of data we can change include serial numbers, sequential numbering, and names. We use a computer to read ASCII text files or Excel files that combines data with the labels being printed. For more information, see our article on using variable data on labels.
